Some overnight docking is available for boats 30 feet or less, on a first come, first serve basis at this private club. There is very limited space to tie up at the club.

There is an area which has been used by boaters north of the Cold Spring Main Dock, which appears in the picture, but has no place to tie up, and is just around the bend adjacent to the restaurant, Northgate at Dockside. Be very careful, particularly at low tide for rocks under water.

A popular spot for anchoring is 1/2 mile from the Cold Spring Dock and just north of Little Stoney Point State Park. During the summer boats are always found anchored there.

Boats have also been known to anchor between Little Stoney Point State Park and the restaurant mentioned above. Be careful, and watch the water depth especially in deeper draft boats.

    WARNING!
Just south of the Cold Spring Boat Club, and southwest by several hundred feet is the remnants of a sunken island and dock. Don't speed in this area, and watch the surface water for tell-tale signs at high tides. Proceed at your own risk as this is not in the channel!

There are facilities at the Cornwall Boat Club on the west side of the river north of Cold Spring, and opposite Bannerman's Island. Fuel and some overnight are available.

There is the Garrison Boat Club which is also a private club several miles south on the same side of the river, but has no facilities.
