RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Visiting Cold Spring is not just about historic places,
shopping and dining but also about recreation. The village is bordered
on the west by the Hudson River famous for its beautiful vistas and also
great for water activities, whether its kayaking, sailing, motorboating
or taking a cruise on the Commander.
If you would prefer to stay on land there are many terrific places
to hike, from easy to strenuous for the experienced hiker who might
like the challenge of Breakneck Mountain. There are a variety of trails
as well as camping and cross country skiing in Fahnestock Park. Manitoga
and Boscobel also offer hiking trails.
Looking for a quicker way to view the area, rent a bike! Enjoy the Hudson
Highlands and get a good workout at the same time.
There are also two golf courses within minutes of Cold Spring,
The Garrison Golf Club and Highlands Golf Club.
