Cold Spring is an original Hudson River town, really a miniature city. There are 225 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, most of which are on Main Street, and many of these are two and three stories. The Main Street shopping area is around 6 blocks long with shops on both sides. You will find boutiques, antiques shops, and places to eat featuring a good variety of foods. Weekends are a popular time for visitors, especially those coming from New York City by Metro North Train.
