"Unity for our Community"

ENDORSES

LOU PETROCELLI

In announcing his candidacy for the office of Philipstown Town Supervisor, Lucio Petrocelli said, "Our community has been marked by developers as an opportune place for real estate development, and we are headed for some tough battles if we are to preserve the character and scenic beauty we all enjoy so much."

He said, "Developers now own hundreds of acres in Philipstown, and we must tighten our zoning laws and have strong, detailed plans to cope with these threats to our community."

Petrocelli was a builder-developer for many years and says his experience provides a unique background for controlling undesirable development.

Being retired, he says he can devote full time to the job of Supervisor and feels the job is going to require lots of time as the business of running Philipstown becomes more complicated.

A resident of Putnam County for 30 years and of Philipstown for 10 years, Petrocelli is well known for his financial generosity in supporting local school programs, the Butterfield Library, the local Little League and senior citizens' activities.

Before running his own business as a builder, Petrocelli was a real estate broker and a program director in the New York City Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Military Police in the Korean War.

He added, "Our current Town government is run by nice people, many of whom I can call my firiends, but times change and talents needed for current and future problems change. That's why I'm offering my time and capabilities to our community."
