The assessor does not determine your property taxes. He (or she) is only responsible for using the guidelines provided by New York State to determine each property owner's fair share of taxes. However he is also the interface between you the taxpayer and the government agencies that create your taxes.

If you elect me as your assessor I will do my absolute best to see that your tax bill is not only fair, but is also the same as all similar Philipstown properties. I will also make it clear to all taxing agencies how your properties are impacted by their decisions.
I urge you to vote for the entire Republican team. Effective reform of this unresponsive and ineffective government is only possible by replacing the majority of the sitting Town Board.
If elected, my office will always be available to answer your questions and to see that you are paying only your fair share of the taxes.
Having grown up here, most of you know that I cherish the same things you do. I have friends from all income levels, I love the woods, and I am a small business advocate. I will work to protect all these things.
