The Hudson Valley Gateway was designed with a twofold purpose. First and foremost, this website was created to bring this beautiful, unique and historic area to the attention of the world. Secondly, it serves as a community website for the residents of Philipstown, a township that includes the villages of Cold Spring-on-Hudson, Nelsonville, and the hamlet of Garrison.

Take a tour through the Village of Cold Spring-on-Hudson, "Star of the Hudson" (tm) and the "Gem of the Highlands" (tm) , listed on the National Register of Historic Places and nationally recognized as one of the best-preserved 19th century townscapes in the Hudson River region.

Visit the township of Philipstown located on the east bank of the picturesque Hudson River Fjord opposite West Point Military Academy. The river cuts a narrow swathe through the Hudson Highlands creating the "Rhine River Vista of America". Philipstown is home to vast acreage of parkland for those who seek the serenity of nature and all forms of outdoor recreation.
